Santa Cruz, CA—This summer marks the nine year anniversary of Yōso Wellness Spa in Santa Cruz and they’re celebrating with a community event! Join them on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at their spa at 740 Front Street #110 for a 9 Year Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser featuring entertainment from The Coffis Brothers, Trike a Pose Photobooth and Happily Ever Laughter. Food and drinks by collaborative sponsors Hanloh Thai, Golden Kitchen Roots, Luna Sea Vodka, and Humble Sea. This family-friendly celebration is free, with food, drink and raffle purchases going to LifeLab, a local non-profit!
Yōso Wellness Spa owner/esthetician Jennalee Dahlen is excited to celebrate nine years in business as of June 9, 2021. Initially founded as Santa Cruz Skin Solutions in 2012 with a focus on facials and body treatments, Dahlen has expanded the company over the past year to include their new retail store “Yoso the Annex” on Cooper St. dedicated to treasured self care, high vibrations, clean beauty and intentional living & earthy goods for a sustainable lifestyle.
“What a time to celebrate as we more than survived, but rather thrived as a personal service business through the COVID19 pandemic,” says Dahlen. At Yoso we have always made a focus on creating a space that our clients and community could feel whole from skin to soul. Yoso would truly not be able to have our doors open for our ninth anniversary if it was not for our community standing by our side through the pandemic, we are truly better together. What a beautiful and special way to honor our clients and community that have made all of this possible than to celebrate with everyone!”
In conjunction with celebrating getting through COVID and Yoso’s 9 year anniversary, Yoso Wellness Spa is taking this gathering as a time to give back to the community and fundraise for LifeLab. This year it was important to support a non-profit that supports children’s education and garden-based learning. “After this past year a program like LifeLab being available for children was a necessity and yet they were also impacted as well with programs being closed and their summer camps this summer being cancelled due to USCS maximum capacity for people. What better non-profit to support than one that is so important for kids and we need around for a long time to come!” says Dahlen.
To support the fundraiser, Yoso Wellness has started collecting raffle prizes from local Santa Cruz area businesses including NextSpace, Kitchen Witch Bone Broth, MAH, Botanic and Luxe, Hotel Paradox, and many more! Yoso encourages guests to have fun participating in the raffle. Raffle tickets will be available at the event for $5, or 5 for $20. Yoso will also be offering food for purchase and drink tickets for $5 each. Proceeds from this collaborative community event will benefit LifeLab.
Yōso Wellness Spa is a member of the Monterey Bay Green Business Program, the Eminence Green Spa Program, Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Santa Cruz Association.
