SANTA CRUZ, California, August 13, 2019 – Venus Spirits is set to launch a line of ready to drink cocktails packaged in 12 oz cans. The cocktails include some of their best-selling cocktails from their Santa Cruz tasting room. Venus Spirits will offer a Gin and Tonic, Gin Gimlet with Cucumber and Basil, and Vodka Mule. All three cocktails are 8% ABV and will retail between $14.99 to$16.99 per 4pk. “We have hit another special milestone for our brand. With these cannedcocktails we can bring the Venus cocktail experience to our customer throughout California andeventually beyond” explains Sean Venus. Recently canned cocktails have gained momentum because of the ease of use and accessibility. They are favorite items for the beach, camping, golf course and backyard pool parties. Venus Spirits canned cocktails will be first available in their Santa Cruz tasting room beginning August 15th with availability at other Northern California retailers by the end of the month. Distribution will follow in Southern California in September.

About Sean Venus, Founder & Distiller
Sean attended the University of Oregon during the initial renaissance of craft beer and began working as an assistant brewer at the age of twenty. He held various positions with other breweries in Eugene and spent six years with Gordon Biersch Brewing in San Jose, CA. For the next eight years he worked for several organic food companies.
Inspired by his love of whiskey, Sean made the decision to start a craft distillery in Santa Cruz in 2012. After finding a site, procuring equipment and completing all the necessary paperwork, distilling began in May of 2014. Venus Spirits now produces fourteen different spirits and operates a tasting room where visitors can enjoy tastings or a cocktail.
