Bike Santa Cruz County is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Membership Program, aimed at uniting bike advocates and people who ride bikes to promote safer bike access throughout Santa Cruz County. This initiative seeks to strengthen the community’s voice in advocating for bike-friendly projects and making cycling a safe and enjoyable mode of transportation and recreation for all. “By becoming a member, you’re not just supporting an organization—you’re becoming part of a movement,” said Mikey Cohen, Membership Director of Bike Santa Cruz County. “When we come together, we can make significant improvements in our community. Your membership empowers us to advocate on your behalf for safer streets, better infrastructure, and inclusive cycling opportunities.”
Membership Levels:
Basic Membership: $10 per year
Bike Santa Cruz Sponsor: $25 per year
Advocate Level: $100 per year (includes exclusive perks like a Bike Santa Cruz County hat or t-shirt and a sticker)
Business sponsorships are also available. Local businesses can contribute to the cycling community while gaining visibility and demonstrating their commitment to sustainable transportation.
E-Bike Raffle Kickoff Event
To celebrate the launch, Bike Santa Cruz County is hosting an E-Bike Raffle from November 20th to December 20th. Members who join during this period will receive raffle tickets:
$25 Sponsor Level: 1 raffle ticket
$100 Advocate Level: 5 raffle tickets
Additional raffle tickets can be purchased separately for $10 each through the BSCC website, https://www.bikesantacruzcounty.org/.
Grand Prize: A Velotric Discover 2 E-Bike, generously donated by Current E-Bikes. The winner will receive a commuter and recreation package featuring a 750-watt motor, hydraulic brakes, a 75-mile range, and built for comfort. It also includes $500 store credit for accessories like bike bags, helmets, and locks, plus unlimited tune-ups from Current E-Bikes. The total prize is valued at over $2,500. “Mike Ahern and Current E-Bikes have made a real difference in the e-bike revolution here in Santa Cruz,” added Cohen. “Their donation of the Velotric Discover 2 E-Bike for our raffle directly supports our advocacy for safer cycling by expanding the understanding of using bikes as car replacement.
