Santa Cruz, California [May 2, 2024] – The Santa Cruz Public Works Department proudly presents the return of the highly anticipated Touch-a-Truck event, scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. This engaging event will take place at the intersection of Center Street and Church Street, near the Civic Auditorium.
As a full-service city, Santa Cruz relies on the dedicated efforts of the Public Works Department to provide many essential services to residents, businesses, and visitors. From maintaining roads and infrastructure to managing waste and ensuring public health and safety, the Public Works Department plays a pivotal role in the daily life of our community.
The Touch-a-Truck event offers a unique opportunity for you to get up close and personal with an impressive array of vehicles and equipment used by the Public Works, Parks, Fire, and Water Departments. From heavy-duty trucks to specialized machinery, attendees of all ages will have the chance to climb aboard, explore, and learn about the tools that keep our City running smoothly.
