Santa Cruz, CA – The Expendables, the renowned reggae-rock band hailing from Santa Cruz, California, is thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated new album, “Pleasure Point.” The album, which marks a significant milestone in the band’s musical journey, as their 8th studio album, which is set to captivate fans with its infectious melodies, introspective lyrics, and signature reggae-surf-rock fusion.

Drawing inspiration from their beloved coastal hometown, the album’s title, “Pleasure Point,” is a nod to the iconic surf spot in Santa Cruz. “This is uncharted territory for us,” says lead guitarist, Raul Bianchi. “Three years ago ‘Pleasure Point’ would have been impossible to create in its current form. This record is at the perfect intersection of when a group writing dynamic meets the freedom of self produced and self recorded music. The covid lockdown forced us to immerse ourselves in learning how to individually record and produce ourselves while still working as a full band to write and arrange the songs. The result is an album that we are proud of from start to finish with the best fidelity of any album we have ever released. It is many years in the making and spans all the ups and downs we’ve experienced over the last 3 years. A lot of emotion and hard work went into creating every track, and Pleasure Point is reflective of that. “.
In support of the album release, The Expendables will be embarking on a nationwide tour in the Fall of 2023, following their supporting tour for Rebelution on the bands’ annual Good Vibes Summer Tour.
