Aptos, California, June 16th 2023 – Venus Spirits, the award-winning distillery, is excited to announce that the reopening of its Venus Spirits Cocktails & Kitchen beachside location will be this July. The kitchen will be led by Chef Gaby Molina, currently the chef of the Westside Santa Cruz location. Pastry Chef Nicole Sanchez will be preparing all baked goods for both restaurants and Venus Pie Trap, the pie, coffee, pizza spot located next door to the beachside restaurant.
The fully renovated location will offer a unique dining experience, with a menu that showcases locally sourced ingredients with a focus on sustainable seafood. Chef Gaby Molina, who has been with Venus Spirits since 2020, will bring her expertise in California cuisine to the menu.
“We are thrilled to be reopening our new beachside location in Aptos,” said Sean Venus, founder of Venus Spirits. “We are excited to bring our award-winning spirits and unique dining experience to the community, this time in a space that more closely reflects Venus Spirits.”
Venus opened Cocktails & Kitchen Beachside during the summer of last year, and closed in November for a complete redesign that expanded kitchen space, relocated the bar and modernized the space. The renovated space, designed by Stripe Design Services, will have elements that reflect the westside location while also bringing a sense of coastal influence. The full bar will feature cocktails made with Venus Spirits’ locally distilled 
whiskey, gin, vodka, rum and agave spirits, which will also be available for purchase by the bottle. The restaurant will also offer a selection of local wines and beers.
The Aptos restaurant was awarded “best new restaurant”
in the Good Times Best of Santa Cruz 2023 awards, and the menu will bring back the lobster roll and oysters, along with new dishes like grilled maitake and vegan poke. End your meal with a Venus espresso martini and slice of fresh pie.
