The Palomar Ballroom was founded by Steve Hughes in 1997 and is the premier dance spot in the Santa Cruz County area, offering instruction in both American and International Ballroom and Latin dances for recreation or competition, as well as Nightclub dances. The ballroom was taken over by the current owner, Jeremy Pilling in 2003 and has been operating ever since, expanding to a second studio in Scotts Valley in 2012.
The Ballroom normally arranges regular dance parties and invites the public to its elegant ballroom that dates back to the 1930’s with its ornate architecture, reminiscent of the time when dance was the most popular social past time. The Palomar Ballroom is a local, small business that has suffered greatly from the economic impact of COVID-19. Close physical connection and socializing is at the foundation of ballroom dancing, and due to the closures and limited capacity, the ballroom is struggling. Please help keep this business afloat until we are back to dancing as usual.

Hello,
What percentage of the purchase price of the t-shirts goes to “the cause?”
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for inquiring. Depending on the shirt purchased, around 40% goes to the ballroom. If you donate on top of purchasing the shirt, 92% of the donation goes to help the ballroom. If you donate to the “donate only” link above, 100% minus the transaction fee goes to the ballroom.
