Although distancing yourselves from others is being preached by most health officials, many still aren’t practicing it. So, one dad from Santa Cruz created a music video in hopes of spreading the message by using the song “Come Out and Play” (sometimes subtitled “Keep ‘Em Separated”), the 1994 song by the punk rock group The Offspring.
Jake McLelan has a brother who is the head ER nurse at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz and they are getting over run with COVID-19 patients.
He says he wanted to do his part to help spread the word about social distancing and was hoping people would respond positive to a more fun approach to spreading the message. So McLelan called upon his kids Jameson and Nicolette for a little help.
