5: East Cliff Brewing Co This list would not be complete without a new brewery. 
East Cliff Brewing Co opened last month with rave reviews. Have you ever been to the British Isles and had a beer? Well for those in Santa Cruz that have not (us included) this is a great place to experience a real British ale. https://www.eastcliffbrewing.com
