Stand-up comedian Tanael Joachim, known on stage as TJ, is to bring his much-anticipated Basement Famous tour to Santa Cruz at The Catalyst on Thursday, January 30th.
Famed for his humorous insights on a broad range of compelling subjects — from his personal immigration journey to the U.S., to his musings on religion, languages, and America’s global position — TJ has carved out a niche for himself in the world of comedy. His birth and upbringing in Haiti, coupled with his current residency in New York City, have endowed him with a unique perspective on life and a natural comedic flair that is unlike anyone else out there.
